Because I live out of LA I needed to visit my doctor. Also I wanted to explain what kind of procedure I was performed. Can you imagine my disappointment when I tried to tell him about cryoablation? Such stubborn, such arrogant to know about others success in cancer's treatment! With injured vanity he told me to go ahead with treatment in LA after he heard that I had medical care in another place! How such doctors can say they are researching a new cure?!
I was standing in a hall of this big well-known by breast cancer's treatment hospital and watching of passing near by me women before/after breast cancer surgery, and feel helplessness. How many women between them, of course if they are suited to the procedure, would or can avoid surgery even if cryoablation is the trial but didn't or don't know about this? Feel angry and sad.
Now I curious about the reaction of other out-of-town patient's doctors. What they said, what they did. Are they also don't want to know about the news in their's field?

Hi Lotto-
Yours is exactly my same reaction after my procedure now 17 years ago. More women need to know about this option. Having co-authored the book, “There Mine and I’m Keeping Them” and running a social media site for 15 years, I’ve talked to hundreds of women about cryoablation. Women want it if they know about it. Knowing about it is the big frustration. As women we need to network when ever we get the chance. Change will come when women demand it. My original breast surgeon advised me not to get it. Many years later, after she herself underwent a double mastectomy, she hired a cryoablation surgeon for her clinic. The writing is on the wall. Change is coming. Thank you for being a patient pioneer and helping change happen. Laura Ross-Paul
