Almost three weeks ago I had Cryoablation on a 13mm tumor in my left breast by Dr. Holmes. It was like a breath of fresh air when comparing it to when I was treated for breast cancer back in 2000 on my right breast. For me this treatment was like having a tooth filling. There was no pain, except for some bruising the next day that was barely sore and only to the touch. Cryoablation for breast cancer should be approved by the FDA immediately. Feel free to ask questions.

In fact I don't want another doctor for biopsy except Dr.Holmes because I think it will be less painful if he will do it.
I have opted out for meds so far. I may do radiation. Another doctor would do the biopsy and maybe at St. Johns. I don't know, maybe you can do it at his other office in Glendale. Since I don't know you better check with Alba. Dr. Holmes works out of St. Johns in Santa Monica on Mondays and other days in Glendale. I'd hate to give you wrong information. Yes, this Covid thing has everything on hold... You can also make an appointment to talk with Dr. Holmes by phone through Alba if need be, but probably not necessary. Wishing you the best with your follow up appointment!! Let me know how it goes.
Which kind of reason you didn't have medicine or radiation? I already bought medicine but still don't begin to take them. Also I think about having radiation. I'm not sure that I will able to have it for several months.
And I also curious about post cryoablation checking. Does Dr. Holmes do a biopsy by himself or it was made by another doctor? I'm asking about this because I don't live in LA. Of cause I think that to do rechecking or treatment in LA better than in another place. But while the world has Covid19 unknown and fast grown it maybe complicate.
I have had two cryoablations without medicine or radiation.
tigerfly, Did you have a cryoablation just only once? Are you taking some medicine or radiation treatments now?
Dr. Holmes has been very nice and helpful. Yes, I agree with you. I have had other experiences back in 2000 and I know how scary a doctor patient relationship can be. This disease can be a challenge and each person must have and understanding of what makes sense to them with each protocol which means lots of questions.... I think it is important to believe in the protocol offered and be able to visualize how it can work. I definitely believe in Cryo and appreciate his gentle, caring nature of handling our unique issues.
I'm impressed, tigerfly, by your continued acquaintance with Dr.Holmes. He is not usual doctor doing everything by protocol, he loves his job and doing it perfectly well. Now I understand his Principe of work "Treating the patient, not the disease". I feel myself very lucky...
Wow, you are so cool! As for me only floor exercises. I'm a weak-will person for doing something difficult for me. Also I started group yoga, but 2 months after beginning COVID19 came. And no lessons more.
I have fitcycle at home. Don't like it much.
What kind of exercises are you doing at home while the quarantine period?
I use a little bit of everything with weights, treadmill, spinning, bike, ballet bar, floor exercises. How about you?
When I commented about the gym and vitamins, I guess somehow when I hit publish it disappeared. The two cancers I got in 2000 and 2018 I am sure were both caused by an injury that I was well aware of. I take vitamin C powder 4,000mg per day in apple juice, D3 7,000iu, magnesium, potassium, B12, Iron, calcium, tumeric, selenium, spirulina, pea powder, and eat beans, rice, veggies, goats milk kefir, tons of avocados, papaya, grapefruits, raw nuts and seeds being a vegetarian. Not too much bread or butter, but I like quality olive oil. I cut out 99% of sugar and dairy except for kefir. I am also drinking Pau D'Arco or Taheebo tea from Brazil about 8 cups a day since a friend mentioned it a couple of months ago. This tea is suppose to help with candida and cancer. We shall see... I also have been going to the gym for a long time.
Let me know if you did not get my answer. I don't see it here, but I did answer this question.
Did you make a changes in your food or sport? Are you taking healthcare supplements?
I'm so glad you had a great experience too! I think women would not wait so long when they find a tiny lump if they knew they could have Cryo. Most women have never heard of Cryo for breast cancer. If the FDA would approve Cryo like they did for men's prostate cancer 10 years ago, it would most likely save more lives.
My Cryo experience was equally fantastic! I truly hope that in the future cryoablation will be an available treatment option for all who are a good candidate. I am so grateful to Dr. Holmes and feel very fortunate to have had cryo and able share my experience with other women.
